Young people benefit hugely from being mentored, with the mentoring relationship creating an environment for cross-learning, further enhancing the mentees’ skills development and career prospects. Our bespoke mentoring programme provides young people with the support, advice and guidance they need to achieve their very best and confidently take the next step in their careers.

We know the architecture industry is built upon strong networks, and our mentoring programme focuses on developing these networks and relationships for young people.

We have designed our programme to focus on short-term goals, starting with our Meet Your Mentor workshop, which is an interactive way of introducing students to their mentors, and exploring what support they would like to gain from the programme.

We ask for a commitment of 6 months, 1 session every month.




Q: What did you enjoy about the mentoring placement?

A: “It gave me an opportunity to see how other practices worked as well as see how they viewed the architectural profession. I have always believed that is vital to have a wider scope of thinking, understanding how different scale practices approached learning and teaching architectural students. More importantly, I really enjoyed the talking with each and every mentor, as they were all positive and constructive in conversation and showed interest in my development.”
